This answers the question of “what does a GBB Crusade Look like?” in an active way, bringing people into the story with emotion.
Experience Go Beyond Borders Crusade Evangelism Ministry After daytime ministry featuring gospel dramas, anticipation fills the community with anticipation for an awesome night event. Our nightly crusade draws villagers from all walks of life. Imagine a man named “ nepaule“, who was born as a hindu and is blind in one eye. Nepaule heard about our ministry from his daughter who received salvation in the school we ministered in earlier in the day. After hearing his daughter’s report, he is curious about the evening event. He enters a large crowded area as what he thinks to be “just a number in the crowd.” But God sees him and knows him by name. The exciting introductory music and entertainment catch his attention and he settles in with the crowd to see exactly what message this group is bringing. Very soon, Reverend Joel enters the stage to introduce the event and welcome the people with joy. He shares several testimonies of physical healings or miracles that happened in the day’s ministry throughout the village. April enters the stage and begins to share the story of creation and the fall of mankind into sin. “Nepaule” has heard a completely different story of how things began. This story makes more sense and something on the inside of his heart is softening. Go Beyond Borders believes in team ministry and developing others, so another team member enters the stage. April hands the microphone to Adam. He shares the gospel message of Jesus Christ being born. He shares about how He is God’s Son, and how He lived without sin and did healing miracles on the earth to prove it. He shares that Jesus chose to die on a cross for each person’s sin and that He resurrected from the dead and is in heaven. He shares how Jesus is alive and proves it today by salvation, healing, and even miracles. “Napaule” believes the true account of Jesus and admits in his own heart that he desires to know the Truth. Just then, Reverend Joel comes back to the stage and grabs the microphone. He shares boldly that salvation is a free gift from God and they can receive it right now. He courageously charges the crowd to believe on Jesus, count the cost, and confess the prayer after him in order to receive. Hundreds of people decide to believe and confess Christ as their savior. They openly decide to forsake their old ideas and follow Jesus. “Nepaule” is crying in the massive crowd as he speaks the words of the prayer, asking forgiveness and confessing this Jesus as His Lord. He knows his whole family will be changed because of this night! After saying “amen,” Joel immediately welcomes all those who prayed into a new family- the family of God. He explains that God’s salvation includes many benefits- including physical healing. “Nepaule” is charged with belief as he hears Joel share a short healing message from the bible about God loves. Without hesitation, Joel asks the people to place their hand wherever they are hurting, sick, or missing a body part. He prays a heartfelt prayer over the crowd asking God to reveal His love to the people in Jesus name. “Nepaule” places his hand over his eye and agrees with the prayer of the evangelist. His eye starts to throb and a feeling like warm honey enters his hand. He checks his eye. He can see! He doesn’t know what to do next, yet is so happy! He tells his family next to him and they are all begin to hug. Joel looks out over the crowd and says, “who can tell a difference in your body? Who has God healed to show His love? Raise your hand!” Hands go up all over the crowd. “Nepaule” raises his hand proudly, realizing he is not just a “number in the crowd,” but a loved child of God. Joel invites those who have received miracles and healings to form a line off the side of the stage to share with others in the crowd. April takes the stage and helps people share their story on the stage through an interpreter. When “Nepaule” enters the stage he is nervous, but thankful! He shares the miracle of His healing. Then April asks “who healed you today?” Napaule shouts “Jesus!” After many person’s testimonies, the crowd is invited back tomorrow night. They are encouraged to bring their family and friends. Bring the sick, maimed, and diseased. “Nepaule” is going to bring everyone he possibly can. The team makes sure they have all the important salvation and healing information compiled and hands the information to the local pastors who have agreed to follow up and disciple the new Christians. Their churches may have just doubled in size in one night! Then, the team packs up all the technical equipment. They turn one microphone over to the local leadership and prepare to leave. On the drive back to the bunkhouse, the team thanks God for the souls, the miracles, and the experience. When Joel and April lay their heads on the sheets, they thank God for the financial supporters who enable them to preach to the unreached parts of the earth. Tomorrow, the team will do it again. Only heaven knows the true significance. Love, Joel & April
